In this class I expected to just take notes and take a ton of pictures. I really had no clue that we would make a blog post, do photoshop assignments, and take specific types of pictures. When I first heard my teacher say "Take out the cameras and go take some pictures", I was shocked. I had no clue we would just get let out of the classroom and take pictures of whatever we wanted with no rules. I liked learning new things in this class. I now know how to work with photoshop and thats something I have wanted to learn over the years. I also know how to line up pictures with the rule of thirds method which I now use a lot in every picture I take. There are cool tools that I learned to use like a photo mask and paint brush tool. Overall this class taught me a lot of things I now will know for the rest of my school career. Shown below will be my four best photos and four worst photos and a couple photoshop assignments. In this assignment, we had to choose a word that means something to us and put pictures that go with the word around it. I chose these two important words because they mean a lot to me. I learned that you can tilt pictures to make them diagonal and you can overlap pictures to make it look more like a collage. I also learned how to put things in the background to make the picture look more filled.
In this assignment I had to choose three puns and turn them into a picture. I had to change the background color and put them all together. I learned that it can be hard to cut out each image but I just have to be very careful around the edges. It was overall very funny and fun to do these puns/pictures.
In this assignment, I had to choose multiple pictures of nature. The first picture was taken near a pond but the rest are some of my past pictures that I am really proud of. Nature is really beautiful so I am hoping that this captures the true beauty of nature. Not edited In conclusion, I had a lot of fun finding and taking pictures of nature. There are nice tools to use on the camera to help make your pictures look amazing. I used a faster shutter speed and then I also blurred the background.
In this assignment we had to take a blank picture of an area and then have someone go into different spots in that area without moving the camera at all. We then had to go to photo shop and put all of the separate pictures together to make one big picture with multiple cuts of the same person. In this assignment I learned that it can be hard to make al the pictures aligned without shadows or lines in the picture but all in all it ended up being a good experience to make multiple Maddie's in my pictures.
In this assignment I had to pick out really nice still pictures. This can be any pictures that are still, pleasing, and can be set up nicely or in a cool way. I really like the different effect these pictures have and they are pleasing to look at. Best Photo |
